The data we collect
The site collects only the data you enter of your own accord in the order form:
- identity: first and last name;
- contact details: email address and phone number;
- postal address: address, postcode and city, needed for shipping and the invoice;
- order data: parts chosen, quantities, delivery method and free-text message.
We collect no banking data: payment takes place on a page hosted by our payment service provider, and your card details never pass through this site.
The message field is free text: do not include sensitive data within the meaning of Article 9 GDPR — health, beliefs, affiliation — which we do not need to supply a spare part.
What for, and on what legal basis
- Handling your enquiry and replying to you — pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Performing the contract, preparing the order, shipping it and issuing the invoice — performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Meeting our legal obligations: keeping invoices and accounting records — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
- Handling complaints and payments — legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f)).
No data is used for marketing purposes without your prior consent.
Who receives your data
The data is processed by the owner of the business. It may be disclosed, strictly as needed, to:
- our hosting provider Vercel Inc., processor acting on our behalf;
- our payment service provider, which handles collection on its own secure page;
- the carrier handling the shipment, for the data needed for delivery;
- administrative or judicial authorities, upon a formal request.
No data is sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
Hosting outside the European Union
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., a US company whose address is given in the legal notice. Hosting may therefore involve processing outside the European Union. If you would like to know the safeguards that apply to those transfers, write to us at contact@help-my-trott.com and we will tell you in writing.
How long it is kept
- Enquiry with no follow-up: 12 months from the last contact.
- Order file: 5 years from its performance, the limitation period for contractual claims.
- Accounting records: 10 years, in accordance with article L. 123-22 of the code de commerce.

The site sets no advertising cookies and no audience measurement tools.
Your cart is saved in your browser's local storage so it is not lost when you change page. That data stays on your device, is not sent to us and you can delete it at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser.
Otherwise, only the technical logs of our hosting provider are generated, as needed for the security and proper operation of the service. The payment page belongs to our payment service provider and is governed by its privacy policy.
